I'd like to take a bus in the morning to the airport, but I can't figure out if they pick up at the cruise port. Is it better just to book on grayline and walk 8 minutes there?

there are ferries that can get you to Iceland from Europe (Denmark and probably other places) but nothing directly from the U.S. You will need to figure out how to get to Europe by boat first, then take a Ferry over.

I think this is a strange posting as it makes no sense. What is Faxagardur? Who is "they" regarding pick up from the cruise port? Walk 8 minutes where?

OP wants to take a bus to the airport from cruise port in Reykjavik, OPwonders is there is a bus that leaves directly from the cruise port or does she need to walk 8 minutes to a location where she knows she can catch a Grayline

Check with the cruise line to see if they offer transfer service from the ship to the airport.
