Another Airport Question

We're now back on after three COVID related cancellations and have a question similar to the previous post.

We arrive at KEF from ATL/JFK at 9:05 AM on August 28th and plan to pick-up a car, returning to Reykjavik for three nights prior to a 11:15 AM departure for JFK/ATL on September 15th. I've reserved a Blue car for pick-up at the airport and plan to return it to them at their downtown Reykjavik location - it looks like we don't need it in the city and hotel parking appears iffy at best and not available at our current reservation at the Centrum hotel. The distance from the Centrum hotel to the Blue office is 1.4 km according to Goggle and looks walkable. We would then take a morning bus to the airport. My question is - is this a reasonable plan or is there a more straightforward plan especially regarding this or an alternate hotel, the return of the car and the airport transfer?

Thanks, I'd appreciate any and all thoughts, ideas or suggestions.

That is a good plan. It is a super short walk from your hotel to the Blue location. We walked that last summer and then walked twice that this winter, both times to use Blue.
