Accurate Hiking Maps?

Hello,

Looking for hiking trail maps for Iceland. Most searches turn up lists, tours and books about specific areas. I'm interested in the best source of paper, digital or app based topo maps which would cover anywhere we decide we want to go. Thanks!

I haven’t. I used Maps.me in Switzerland and I’ve always gotten by in the US with paper maps or something on Avenza.

A Google search produces IDNU for paper maps. A private company who now produce the maps of the National Land Survey of Iceland - the equivalent of the Ordnance Survey in the UK.
They have a web site in Icelandic. In the UK you can buy their products from specialist map stores such as Stanford's so you should be able to do so from similar map stores in the US.
From a quick search it's not clear whether they go down to a hiking scale of 1:50,000

You could also checkout Caltopo and Strava which a google search says they cover Ireland. Unfortunately, Gaia doesn’t seem to cover Ireland even though it covers other areas of Europe for topo maps

I do not use Alltrails for anything as here in the PNW they are inaccurate most of the time.

Look at the Wapp app, The camping rental place at BSI in Reykjavik carries waterproof trail maps, and you can find some in various tourist information centers.
