Access to Thingvellir National Park on 25th December

The visitor centre is closed on the 25th but could we still access the park for example the Silfra Fissure? Honestly I still don't get the whole idea if all of the park could only be accessed from 1 entrance gate or only some of the attractions such as the Silfra Fissure needs admission and within closed gate?

Places that i'd like to see should be just a stroll away from the visitor centre such as Almannagja, Silfra, Oxararfoss. Not sure if these next attractions easy to access on the 25th of December

Are you really thinking about driving yourself? Please don't - take a tour - and I am sure they have a way to go there.

You are trying to drive in Iceland at the worst time possible. Daylight hours are few and you don't want to be driving in the dark in narrow roads with no shoulders. The wind is amazingly strong and can blow your car across either to oncoming traffic or off the side. And then there is ice and snow - you are also coming during the Christmas holidays when road clearing is not as regular. Just don't want you to get into a dangerous situation or for others who are sharing the road with you.
