7 Day itinerary -- are 3 long tour days too much?

Hi

Traveling Oct 15-21. 6 full days. Our itinerary now has 3 long tour days -- Golden Circle, Snaefellsnes Peninsula and South Coast. Is that too much? Staying Reykjavik entire time. 4 female travelers (60ish but very fit)

Arrival Day 16th - - early morning arrival and walking tour Reykjavik
Day 1 17th - all day Snaefllsnes Peninsula private tour then Northern Lights Jeep tour at 9pm
Day 2 18th - Gold Coast all day small group tour
Day 3 19th - Reykjavik food tour and then Northern Lights by boat
Day 4 20th - Whale Watching tour then Sky Lagoon
Day 5 21st - South Coast Tour
Day 6 22nd Depart

Is this too much time in bus/car for touring? I don't think so but one traveler is concerned. Welcome thoughts!!

Can you swap day 2 and 3 so you don’t have the bus/car tours 2 days in a row. Also, I would not want a late night jeep tour and then have to get up early the next morning for a tour.

I was just in Reykjavik for 5 days and only did 1 group tour and wish I had more. So, I would prioritize the 3 bus/car tours. Just spread them out better if you can.

Have you considered a multi day tour? That would eliminate the backtracking even with the tours, and would allow you to have moire time actually visiting the places.

If you don't want to do that, then I agree, try to mix it up a bit and do the tours every other day.

I would not do a northern lights tour and then a tour in the morning. You won't get back until around 1, even 2am.

I think you mean the Golden Circle, and that is a really easy tour day, but like I said I would not do a tour the morning after a NL tour. Pickups for the tours are around 8am, so that would be a rough day.

Instead of a NL tour via boat, I would stick to a land based one. October weather can be anything and do you really want to be out on a boat in the cold, rain, and extreme wind? Land based have chairs for you, winter jumpsuits to keep you warm hot cocoa and a bus to go sit in if you are really cold. If you need a recommendation I really like Aurora Experts. We have used him a few times and he is excellent!
