Any suggestions for quality walking tours? I'd prefer to avoid the "free" ones. Thanks
The self guided ones are good. Get a copy of DK Eyewitness Top 10 Budapest, a travelcard and study the tram system a bit and enjoy.
Sorry, for general tours I don't know a good guide right now.
I took the Buda and Pest walking tours covered by the Budapest Card in 2018. They were run by Cityrama, and you can buy them separately. I thought they were perfectly good general-purpose walking tours. The groups weren't extremely large--I think not more than 15 people. However, that was in May. I don't know the cost, but I'd guess not more than 20 euros each.
acraven, thank you. Here is the link: https://www.budapest-sightseeing.hu/tours/programs-in-budapest/
PEDMJR, i am guessing you are already here?
If you got on room on the river or the lower end of Andrassy ut as was discussed in your other post then seeing a lot in two days is possible with a TravelCard and a guide book.
Enjoy
