We have tried to keep updated on water levels going east to Bucharest. Heard there was rain recently, but are the water levels up enough? Has anyone recently sailed east? I appreciate any info any of you have.

You best bet is to contact the cruise line directly and look on Cruise Critic. Not many people follow rive flows. Not much has changed since your earlier question of eight days ago.

Check out the Viking website which says the river levels have stabilized and they expect itineraries to be normal in the coming weeks. If you have created an account you can log in and get updates on your specific itinerary or you can call customer service for an update on your particular cruise. Have a great trip. We did the Viking Rhine River Cruise last year and it was a good trip.
