I added some November and December updates to the 2026 events yesterday and today they decided to lock the thread due to age. So, here is a new November and December thread.
If people are coming to town and they have found other events of interest please post them below and I will update the list. All help appreciated.

NOVEMBER
- 6 - 3 January Variety Show https://www.budapestvariete.hu/ This is a bit unusual in that they built a really high end circus tent on the roof of a shopping mall near Nyugati train station. It’s a 60’s Vegas style review show with dinner. Actually looks like they do it well too.
- 9 The Klezmatics at MUPA. This world class Klezmer.
- 13 Vorosmarty and Basilica CHRISTMAS MARKETS: Go to this thread for all the details. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/hungary/updated-budapest-christmas-markets-christmas-activities
- 21 Bordeaux November. The biggest taster of Bordeaux reds @ the Corinthia Hotel. I will be there. These are always well done. Not designed for tourists, it’s a place to mix with locals and see what Hungarians are really like. Here is a video of a previous event at the hotel: https://youtu.be/VIGvgAn0p5Q?si=JneBqPUFNAwI-i1s and the webpage: https://wineloversrendezvenyek.hu/bordoi-november/english

- 11 Borvidékről borvidékre - Tokaj @ Time Out Market Budapest Tokaj Wine Tasting. A very intimate wine event with maybe 40 people. Often only presented in Hungarian, but the last one I went to, after the finished the presentation the vintner came and sat with me and did it again in English. Again, just an excuse to mingle with locals. Good place to eat as well.
