Train from Budapest to Prague (with a stopover in Bratislava)

I'm hoping you guys can help me with a question. I'm leaving Budapest on a Wednesday (May 27) and going to Prague. I would, however, like to spend an afternoon in Bratislava (4 hrs as trains leave every 2 hours). My questions lie within what a "sparday" ticket is. Can I get off the train? Or do I have to stay on that particular train? Is it cheaper to buy 2 sparday tickets? Or would it be better to buy 1 regular ticket (if I can't get off using the sparday)?

Thank you in adavance!

Sparday tickets require you to pick a specific train and you cannot interrupt the journey. I would suggest following these instructions for purchasing tickets from Budapest to Bratislava. The journey time is 2h45min; 19 Euro. Then follow these instructions for travel from Bratislava to Prague on a SparDay ticket for 15 Euro.

You'd take the train from Budapest into Bratislava. Then take a bus 39 miles into Vienna that drops you off at the main train station. I would suggest you spend the night in Vienna.

Then take the a.m. train into Prague. I can't help you with the sparday tickets.

Thanks, guys. I will definitely be doing the 2 spardays route. I will just have been in Vienna before Budapest, so it will be time to move on to Prague (plus, I already booked my room)!
