I am trying to find a site and price of tickets. I gather from a chat line with Euorail that this must be a local train and could not help me. I do know that is a 7.5 hour trip. Can anyone help me it would be appreciated. I also am looking for a price on train tickets from Cesky to Prague 3.5 hour trip.

The best connection from Budapest-Keleti: Train leaves Budapest at 7:40, arrives Linz 11:46, you change trains there, train leaves Linz at 11:52, arrives Ceske Budejovice at 13:51, you change trains again, train leaves C.B. at 14:22, arrives in Cesky Krumlov at 15:05. Price is about 42 Euro if you buy it about month ahead. If you buy it 1 day ahead it's about 80 Euro plus minus depending on train. Another option is to get off train in Linz and take shuttle to your hotel in Cesky Krumlov. It's faster because train is doing detour via Ceske Budejovice. http://www.ckshuttle.cz . Price of train ticket C.K. to Prague is 195 czk = US$8.53 in todays exchange course.

Thanks so much. We are not looking forward to a long train trip so I was trying to justify CK Shuttle's price vs train. Train is a lot cheaper but a whole day is lost for sure. The drive is only 4.5. I will have to do some thinking on this.
