Too hot for baths?

Apologies if this is a dumb question. We arrived today and will be in Budapest through the week. It is hot! In the 90s all week. So a sauna and baths isn’t sounding fun, is it or should I defer to a future trip in cooler weather?

The baths do a constantly good business despite the outside temps. If you do the ritual, most is inside. But maybe Gellert would be the best choice.

And compared to my home in Texas, the weather is a bit different. 90F in the sun, but a lot dryer and a breeze even in the inner city is more common than not. Oh, use the mornings and evenings more. It seems to cool down at sunset here a lot faster than it did in Texas.

Keep to the side of the street in the shade and take it slow.

In the heat of the day do museums and inside tours ... or maybe visit a massage salon ... the one I go to and most of the good ones have showers so you can get relaxed, help the feet recover and freshen up.

By the way, since you are here, the 4/6 tram from the Oktogon towards the NY Cafe is down for repairs for at least a month. There are busses marked 4/6 running the route.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. We are thinking Gellert later in the week. Due to the heat we are moving slower than usual, I’m glad we have 5 full days here!

Just a quick update in case anyone else was curious, we went today and had a great time. The outdoor pools are great in hot weather. We didn’t use the indoor spaces much but they would be terrific when the weather is cooler. Thanks again for the reply and so glad we went!
