Thank you James and worldinbetween

Just returned from our trip- spent 3 nights in Budapest and just wanted to say thank you to both of you for your help with our plans and for all the great suggestions.
We absolutely LOVED Budapest- wished we had had a few more nights there.

Ate at a few of your recommended restaurants- fantastic food and inexpensive- had our best meals in Budapest!
Attended a concert at St. Istvan's- Chani suggested that- and it was a lovely way to see the interior and spend the evening.
Took tour of Opera- very good although our guide talked a bit too fast
Visited Great Synagogue, Great Market Hall, Terror Haza, Ruin Pubs, Heroes' Sq, Széchenyi Baths, Castle Hill, Mathias Church, etc-
Did take a walking tour which was well worth it- very informative and fun!
Walked, walked and walked some more- it was very very hot! Rode trams and metro as needed.
The locals were extremely friendly and helpful- seems like they really like tourists!

So glad we did not "cut" Budapest from our itinerary- it was our favorite city on this trip. Beautiful city with a fascinating history.
Again, many thanks for all your advice.

So happy you enjoyed it. Few rarely spend enough time. Let me know when you are ready to return.
