We went to the Icebar in Budapest thinking it would be a unique experience. We were underwhelmed. You get tiny drinks, it's expensive and there's an ice sculpture of a woman's mid section which we found offensive. In retrospect, not worth the time or money.

Unfortunately you fell victim to Vaci utca; deep in the heart of Tourist Hell. While Vaci utca is an interesting walk and there are a few interesting shops (I like the music themed souvenir shop at number 18), the restaurants are average and overpriced as is most everything else on the street.
