Hello, we were just notified that the Ritz will no longer be part of Bonvoy and will be managed by Al Habtoor group. We have upcoming reservations here and know nothing of the reason or the new management group. Any insights? Should we look for another luxury hotel? Suggestions? Thanks in advance

the Al Habtoor Group owns the hotel and wanted to manage it themselves. Marriott currently manages it.
They have gone to arbitration and it looks messy. I wouldn't be surpised if they change brands at some point. Espepcially since it will no longer be part of Bonvoy.

The Ritz Carlton is now the AL HABTOOR PALACE. If it makes you feel any better, same owner for the past few years, just decided to drop the Ritz Carlton franchise and name it after himself. Good luck.
