Taking a Viking cruise and getting to Budapest a day early so we would like to find someone to show us some highlights in the limited time we have there. So anyone have some firsthand experience there?
Thanks,
We were on an independent tour of Budapest in 2019. We hired Timea Tarjani. She was recommended by relatives who hired her in 2018. We hire guides when we travel, and I have to say she was at the top of our list of knowledgeable & engaging guides! Since then we referred friends who also raved about her. She gear’s her tours to your interests. We were interested in Jewish history & WWll. Our amazing tour was about 3 hours. She met us at our apartment and then we had lunch at a recommended restaurant after the tour. Enjoy your Viking Cruise! https://budapestjewishwalk.hu/about-me/

I have used him quite a few times over the last 20 years and I like him a lot.
But there are lots of good guides in town, so contact a few, have conversations and pick one that rubs you the right way.
Excellent idea by the way, there is so much to see, and you have so little time its the only way to go.
IF Budapest were a destination for you, its 4 or 5 days to see on your own, and maybe 3 with a guide; but never pass up the opportunity to see what you can with what time you have and maybe you will want to return.
