Other areas of Hungary

My Wife and I will be spending 4 to 5 nights in Budapest in June. We were thinking of renting a car and tour other areas. After Budapest, we have about 7 days, any suggestions would be appreciated. I've checked car rentals, and the prices for 7 days aren't bad, in recent years I've driven in Turkey, Romania and other countries.
Thanks a Million, John.
PS. Any good "Flea markets" in Budapest????, weekdays

The three most popular side trips are the Danube bend towns, Gyor (and the Archabbey at Pannonhalma), Pecs, Eger and Tokaji. Where are you coming from and where are you going after Budapest / Hungary?

Okay World, what do you want? :-) Thanks. For the Tokaji I would train to Eger, spend the night, then rent a car or hire a guide (I am sort of spoiled that way) and then drive to Tokaji. But I asked where they were coming from and where they were going so maybe they could see something on the way into Hungary and something else on the way out. Its a better use of time if possible.

I have to wait until May but we will try it on the next trip. Thanks. The problem is that I am a creature of habit so its tough to get me to try something new when I already know so many places I know I love. Guess I just have to change.

We will be there in May looking for another "place", this one for my daughter. You know maybe we could arrange halfzies.

Have you ever been to Kistarcsa?

I want to go fishing in Slovakia on the next trip, but then I really don't want to not be in Budapest too. Tough decisions.

Reading a book right now and a Nazi, later Soviet, transit camp was identified in Kistarcsa. I am always tempted by such things but know I don't really have the fortitude to face such things. Never mind.
