Non stop flights from NYC-Budapest

Looking to do a Budapest-Vienna trip next March. We want to fly non stop and open to flying in and out of either city...thoughts and input greatly appreciated.
Thanks

A quick look at Matrix-ITA indicates that flying open jaw is not practical as nonstop flights from NYC to either city are operated by different airlines from different coalitions, so you end up with 2 one-way tickets. So I say fly r/t to one or the other. Cities are less than 3 hours apart by train.

There are no flights to or from Budapest and North America right now. The cheapest way to get there is by Norwegian Air Shuttle connecting through one of their Scandanavian cities to Budapest. But who knows if that airline will still be in service next year.
Otherwise, I'd fly into London Gatwick and take EasyJet to Budapest.
Vienna is best reached by Austrian Airways to/from JFK.
