i'm looking for peoples opinions on good options for an evening cruise tour on the Danube to view beautiful buildings. we don't need a drink, food, or a narrated tour. just a nice boat with outside seating to enjoy the view. have explored Silverline, Duna, and Legenda without being satisfied. any suggestions welcome. thank you.

Hi, meganpieh! I don’t know how your post slipped past with no answers!
So I am replying to boost, but I have to confess I have only done this once and it was a dinner cruise. In my research, it seemed that basically the cruise and scenery are all about the same so I chose based on food (I had a group there who wanted the dinner cruise).
I am not sure there is much difference in the companies. I would think there is more difference in the offerings that you don’t care about. But they all go up and down the same river, so I would choose based on time of day (after dark is magical), location of departure, a description of the seating, length of the cruise, and cost.
While not what you are looking for, my choice is always the trams at night. You can ride both sides of the river, as well as taking one across Margrit Bridge - getting off and just standing on the bridge looking at both sides.
And yes, it’s a magical view either way!

Texas Travel Mom...thank you for replying.... was working through some options as i got the notification you had replied. i basically did exactly as you said, and after weeding through some online reviews, chose Silverline one hour evening sightseeing cruise...price, timing, and what i could find of the look of the boats seems a good choice...we leave for Europe Monday and this was something we really want to experience and enjoy...
