I have made James E's list of authentic and good places to eat but no one has mentioned taking in the New York café for desert or just wandering into the building itself. Is this a place to must see in the later evening?

Must see dependable your taste. It's one of the most opulent places you may ever walk into. It's a bit out of the way and it can be crowded so best to hit it between meal times.

We went twice in two days when we were in Budapest...we thought it was overpriced but completely wonderful! Worth a visit in my opinion.

I loved it. Beautiful setting, elegant and opulent. Very "bygone era". Treat yourself to an afternoon coffee and a little something sweet.
