New Year’s Eve in Budapest

Hello members. I’m traveling with a total of four adults& 2, 11-year-old children. Final stop is in Budapest. Does anybody have a great venue, activity or restaurant to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Budapest before we leave the next day.
Thank you. Peter Zier

Peter, a challenge; adults and 11 year olds together for NYE. First, get as far away from District VII as possible.

Here are some ideas to check out. Not sure how many will pay off.

Check out a river cruise. One that sounds like its for civility and not one with free booze all night. Maybe a dinner cruise that ends after midnight. Look at Legenda City Cruises https://legenda.hu/en and Silverline Cruises https://silver-line.hu/
Restaurants that “might” have something
Sir Lancelot’s: Corny but could be fun Király100 Gastro https://maps.app.goo.gl/DV3aFHx93WWEdEyj8

Most of the better hotels will have parties but I am not sure about 11 year olds.

The Nutcracker is on at the Opera House. It starts late so they can do NYE at the end of the show. Then everyone goes outside to the front of the opera to celebrate a little more. Someone will be firing fireworks from the roof tops and last year the performers sang on the sidewalk. All very controlled, safe, polite and sober. So even if you don’t go to the Nutcracker just being in front of the opera at midnight works pretty well. I know cause I live a block away and its what I do.

I suspect I will think of more. When I do, I will post.

I will send you a PM too.
