Money for Prague, Vienna, Budapest 9-day tour

I am a single woman and am taking a nine day tour of Prague/Vienna/Budapest, 3 days in Vienna, 4 days in Prague and Budapest in late March, early April 2024. The extra days are on my own, no tour. Hotels and some meals are paid for with the tour. I wondered how much I could potentially need for the extras like food any other day-to -day purchases, nothing extravagant. I intend on taking two credit cards and having some local currency with me upon arrival. How much would be a good estimate? I was contemplating roughly $200 for each country, expecting that would cover basic daily needs. Is that enough, or should i budget for more? Are credit cards readily accepted? I intend on bringing 2, one Master Card, one Visa? Should i take any cash at all or rely solely on cards? I have never traveled these countries before, so this is a new adventure.
I appreciate any/all advice.
Thank you!

I got a little lost, so the 3 days in Vienna and the 4 days in each Prague and Budapest are in addition to the tour? Well, really doesn’t matter to answer the question, except if you have time, I might have some ideas that you could be interested in.

I can only talk about Budapest. Ive been to Prague and Vienna but there are people better with those than I am.

If you are arriving with local currency, that would be unexpected. You know Hungary isn’t on the Euro. If you have forints, great. If not don’t worry. ATMs all over town for that, or you can pretty much do the entire stay on a credit card or bank card. I live here and rarely use cash, but sometimes particularly with tipping, a little cash is a good idea. Lets say you keep 10.000 ft in your pocket in 1.000 and 2.000 bills and hang on to the coins as well.

So, $200 a day does not include the hotel? Then you are RICH in Budapest!! Don’t think twice about it. If you have the time use some of the money for some tours, maybe a trip to Szentedre or one of the other small towns or even to Eger or Pecs. Meals here, out of the tourist zone (which is easy), are inexpensive. Eat really well with some nice wine and food might cost $60 a day. Eat basic with a local beer and food might cost you half that a day. Transportation is about a dollar a day. So now you have $140 left?

Vienna and Prague will run 20% to 30% more than Budapest.

Sorry if post was not clear. It is a 9-day tour, 3 days in each country, extra days tacked on pre and post tour. Your advice is helpful! Thank you!

Awesome! I'm planning to go to Budapest in May for six days, and I budgeted $150 per day per person, excluding accommodation. It seems like I'm within budget and will be able to visit most of the attractions. I've never been to Hungary before, but I stumbled upon no deposit casino bonus hungary for mobile gambling and started playing. I got hooked, and I convinced my husband to go to Hungary, and now we're planning it. Plus, they accept our Visa and Mastercard, which will be very convenient for the tour, as I'm not a big fan of carrying cash.

You have plenty of $$$. One of the beauties is that costs are reasonable in general and so much there is to see is outside of the tourist zones that it gets even less expensive.

Last October I spent 8 nights in Prague/Vienna/Budapest (so 24 nights) and did not need to buy the local currency in Prague or Budapest. I used credit cards everywhere. In Vienna I used some Euros.
