Some people make a goal of finding them all when they come here. One positive aspect for doing that is that in the act of finding them you will get a great tour of the city. Most are near the top sights, but not where the tour books take you. It forces you to explore a bit more.

Mykhailo Kolodko is another good example of the complexity of cultures. A few days ago, the PM of Hungary issued a protest to the Russians for intentionally targeting Hungarians with drones; and it was worded pretty much like that. It took a bit more research for a non-Hungarian to realize what the Hungarians instinctively knew and that is Hungarian isn’t a citizenship. Being Hungarian is a National Ethnicity. The drone attacks were against Hungarians of Ukrainian citizenship, living in Ukraine. Mykhailo Kolodko is Hungarian because his mother was and no other clarification is necessary or appropriate.
Uzhhorod, Ukraine is majority Hungarian and while I have only driven through it and stopped at the train station it sounds to be well worth a night or two to visit. https://youtu.be/kvPYGV28TDQ?si=_YzRYMdFaAWU3U4F You can reach it by train or with a 40€ van ride from Budapest.
