MAV Ticket Offices

Hello -

I will be in Budapest in October and then will head on to Vienna. I had planned to purchase my train ticket in person. It appears that the MAV ticket offices on Andrássy ut and József Attila are both permanently closed. Does the corporate office sell tickets or are there other ticket offices near the city center? I can’t seem to find any on the MAV website.

Thanks!
Samantha

I bought tickets at the main train station (Budapest to Melk)

You can go to either of the two main train stations. Both near and easily accessible from the town center and both worth seeing from a tourist perspective.

I have bought in person at Keleti--the clerks speak English, but just in case I have what I want written out on a piece of paper.
