How much local currency should we bring for 2 days..... bus, terror museum, lunches, dinner, and baths. There are two of us.

How high is up? You can have a really good meal for two for under $30 or you can go to a Michelin star restaurant and spend many times that. There is another thread here with som recommendations you can google for the menus. The best answer is to come with no forints, but to bring an ATM card and draw money as you need it.

Do just plan to use your ATM/debit card to withdraw cash upon arrival; machines are everywhere. If you withdraw 50,000 forints, that's about $225 and could cover you for quite a while. Or withdraw less and see how far it gets you. Some restaurants will take credit cards.
