Is 5 days enough/too much?

My wife and I are planning our first trip to the Hungary region in early July. We are stopping in Vienna first and flying home from Budapest. We will have 15 days total. Our idea was to spend 5 full days in Budapest, 3 full days in Prague and 4 fulls days in Vienna, including a day trip to Bratislava.

I was wondering if the schedule sounds good? We have not booked any accommodations yet so things could be switched around.

Thank you for any suggestions and any must do things!

Maybe 4 full days would be plenty and add a day to Vienna or Prague.

More time in Prague. More time in Vienna. Less time in Budapest. Bratislava is only OK. A better day trip is Wachau, Krems, Maria Tafrl, and Melk Abby. Essential: Maria Tafrl before Melk

It's all going to be about what interests you more. These are 3 very distinct places. Prague is attractive to younger people who dont mind the crowds and like to party a bit more. Vienna a bit more of the older set that loves museums. Budapest sort of a bit of both without the crush of tourism - more of a cultural experience.

Read all you can on all 3, then structure accordingly.

As for Bratislava, Cesky Krumlov and Gyor: just alternates, but with so little time I wouldn't do any of them. Too much to see and do in the cities.
