Hungarian Parliament Tour Registration

We'll be visiting Budapest in September and are hoping to visit the Parliament Building. We're struggling to reserve tickets. We've tried Rick's website suggestion (jegymester) as well as googling it. We can't seem to get into the official website. Any suggestions?

I am also going to be in Budapest in September but so undecided about touring the Parliament Building. I'm only in town for two and half days, so I don't have that much time and it's quite pricey. Of course, I will be visiting the outside regardless! But I heard the tour is actually audio tour and they move you around quite fast.

For those that have toured, what was your experience like? I would probably visit on a Thursday if I were to go.

The last time i went the guides were still flesh and blood. But I know how much time you have. I would tell my family members to skip the inside but to do the Opera House tour and the Parasi Passage (10am) and maybe the NY Cafe if they were willing to arrive early (8am) midweek.

We took the tour last month and I enjoyed it but with the limited amount of time you have, I wouldn’t bother.

We were given audio guides which were synced to the location. A guard or staff memeber (not guide) led a group of about 25-30 people through the building. The audio was programmed for each stop. I found it interesting and loved seeing the very ornate interiors. But with limited time, I’d pass on making a visit.

I would tell my family members to skip the inside (of the parliament building)

Is that solely because the OP only has 2 days -or- would you say that given a longer time in Budapest?

Chris, I think Mr. E's comment was directed to me, not the OP, as I only have 2 1/2 days in Budapest.
I don't know how long the OP is in Budapest for.

With 2 days you really have to choose between a lot of outside the building stuff or less if you start going inside. Unless its something you just love, then you go for it. By the way, I loved the Parliament.

I'll muddy the water here and say my husband and I enjoyed the tour. I'm half Hungarian, so maybe I'm biased. The building is beautiful inside and it's the only way to see the crown jewels.

Margaret, when they name an island after you, you get to muddy the waters. Like I said, I liked it too. Just we have some folks with 2 day visits ... then you gotta set priorities.
