Hungarian Clothing

QUESTION: Know of any good men's clothing stores where I can get Hungarian made clothes (if that exists)? Price points would be $50 average for a polo/button up shirt and the same or more for pants. I usually like buying shirts abroad though. If local made clothes are more significantly more expensive than this average then no need to give me store names.

I really don’t know of any production clothing being made in Hungary; with the exception of shoes. Tisza shoes are worth looking at as they are cold war icons. Here is an article on all of the major Hungarian shoe makers: http://welovebudapest.com/shops.and.services.1/top.hungarian.shoemakers . Then for bags and such http://welovebudapest.com/shops.and.services.1/fashion.2/furla.1
And I do know of a higher end shop: http://pelote.hu/kapcsolat and how could you not like: http://bunt.hu/en/

But do they make shoes in my size 15? Seriously, we found shoes and clothing to be normally priced in Hungary.

We did find inexpensive shoe stores in Prague. Shoes and beer were about the only inexpensive purchases there, however.

David, you are correct in that this isn't a destination for discount clothing. The Tisza shoes are interesting because of their Cold War history and I know of a good fur shop that has very competitive prices vs the US. But that and hand made shoes (including size 15) is pretty mhch the extent of it.
