Hotels near River cruise docks

To the best of my knowledge the boats dock on the Pest side and it would be the Pest side I would recommend for any first time visitor; especially those with limited time. I wouldn't worry too much about the proximity of the hotel and the dock. Lets say you stayed across the street from the Opera House on Andrassy ut ( this I the street that the French copied with their Champs-Élysées - or maybe it was the other way around ); my guess is a taxi would cost no more than $10 and take no more than 15 minutes in bad traffic to reach the docks. Since your time will be limited I think the best advice is to find accommodations convenient to your sight seeing so you can take full advantage of the time in Budapest.
