We are self driving but can only find tours that include a driver, or group tours. I’ve reached out to Tanyacsárda, Bakodpuszta and even Korina tours, but have not received any response.
Has anyone done this and can point me in the right direction?

Personally I would be inclined to do the tour. A lot easier than driving. But I assume you are not doing this from Budapest so that doesn’t work.
WOW!!! Your last post was 2009 about the Budapest airport transportation. How was the trip?

We didn’t end up going to Budapest in 2009.
We did go in 2023 and also made it to Banska Bystrica (Besztercebánya) on that same trip. We have our family crypt at the Evangelical church cemetery there and it was my mother’s wish to be buried there with her family.
The famous architect LE Hudec was her uncle and he is in the crypt so it was quite the task since it’s now a National Monument.
We rented a car then as well but found we didn’t need it once we were back in Budapest.
BTW …..I’m Hungarian but was born in California. I’m fluent in Hungarian so that helps 😃
