Ok this is always a challenge - are there gluten free options anywhere??????
I am sure there are. Food in Budapest is very good.
I know I'll find some by knowing what to order- but if there is a bakery for bread or a restaurant with gluten free menu that would be ideal!
It's a city with lots of people so you know there will be what you are looking for. I just Googled "Budapest Gluten Free" and got hundreds of hits for restaurants and guides and suggestions. Of the first three restaurants that pop up, the first two are very near Andrassy ut between the Opera and the Oktogon which is a great area to wander ...... but like i said, the choices are many....
excellent news! not that I would let it stop me - I can eat meat/fish/potato/rice/vegetables and fruits - and wine - no allergies to wine!!!!!!!
There's a gluten free bakery called Free Bakery with 2 locations. Also we loved Zeller Bistro, a lot of gluten free options, they even made us freshly baked gluten free bread for free. We also ate a lot of doner plates, which is like gyro. Also Koles A Reform Konyha has a lot of gluten free desserts and baked goods.
