Or take public transportation if you dont have a lot of luggage. The M4 and the 49 Tram both go there.

Other options are Bolt and Uber. I believe your US apps will work. The difference in Budapest is that Bolt and Uber are yellow taxis held to the same requirements as any other taxi. They have meters and charge the same fixed rate as does any typical taxi company. But they are fine. Fotaxi is another good company. I just happen to prefer CityTaxi as they have taken care of me for nearly 20 years without incident.

€150 is obscene. Might cost you €60 for a private transfer or €20 for a taxi, or €3 on the metro.

I second City Taxi if you can’t manage the metro or tram. Set it the app before you leave home. But you will need data to use it when you arrive.
