Szia I am Canadian but also have a Hungarian passport -trying to find what benefits eg, bus, tram, libraries etc .would be free or discounted. Have checked internet .

The museums you will pay the EU rate that can be quite a bit cheaper, but thats about it. If you are over 65 public transportation is free, but that for everyone.

Thanks-just to be clear "public" means local trams,buses,metro? Would that apply in Pecs also? A few years ago I was there and museums were free -has that changed?

For free you can ride the Trains within Hungary, the Trams, the Busses, the Metro, the Trollies. But not the Funicular or the boats.
Museums you will have to check their websites. Most only discount EU member state citizens and since you have a passport, that would include you.
