Hello, We plan to take a one way trip (car/ with driver ) from Prague to Budapest instead of taking train. Will be stopping at Esztergom to see the Basilica. My question is do you think its worth stopping there to see it. Any other suggestions to see on the way?

I would stop at the Archabbey at Pannonhalma on the way. And yes, Esztergom is very interesting.

BUT in the time you will save by flying Prague to Budapest (Czech Airlines for about $125 to $150) you could still see Esztergom by train from Budapest.
