Ebike?

We love to take city bike tours in Europe, at a leisurely pace. We have looked at several bike tour companies. We do not know the terrain of Budapest so it is hard to judge whether we should get regular bikes (flat like Berlin?) or ebikes (hilly like Prague?).

It's both. The Pest side of the Danube is flat, whereas the Buda Hills are, well, hilly, especially on the climb away from the river. The former also has wide, painted (green) bike lanes along the Danube. Pest, with the Parliament building, Margaret Island, Keleti train station, a bustling commercial area, river boat traffic, etc. is also more attractive than its cross-river counterpart.
