Dunacorso

Planning on dining at Dunacorso on our first night.

Any tips on where to ask for a table that gives a great view from the terrace? Also, should we reserve a table asap or fine just to turn up?

Thanks,

Lynn

It’s probably too early to book for end of August. A couple of weeks should be fine - ask for a table outside closest to the river. And since you are reserving, see if you can manage to wait till 7 or 7:30 as it gets darker and the building lights along the river start to come on. Will you have jet lag?

Thanks for your reply Texas Travel Mom

No jetlag as we will be coming on the train from Prague.

Your suggestion of timing dining to coincide with the lighting is perfect!

Sunset on 15 August is about 8pm. Figure later for "dark". Also to keep in mind for river boat tours. Temps probably around 75F at 7 pm. Nice time, nice place.

Thanks for further information, esp. weather, although we will be about another 10 days so it may/not? be different?

As we are going on Scenic from Budapest, the first evening of the cruise we have a cruise along the river, so we'll do that then.

Not much changes statistically. The hottest day of the year statistically is 8 August is believe. And sunset might be 5 or 10 min earlier.

Enjoy....
