Budapest: Rezkakas Restaurant - very good Hungarian food, excellent Tokaj wine, Hungarian folk music cymbalom band.
Address: 1053 Budapest, Veres Palne utca. It has been few years since I was there.

Ilja, You have good taste. RÉZKAKAS is number 4 on my list above. They moved to the new address in 2012.

Thanks James for the extensive and detailed list. Thanks Ilja for seconding Rezkakas which means I will definitely be going there. I am so looking forward to dining out in Budapest, and now I have some good places to choose from.

I was in Budapest two months ago. I loved Paprika (http://www.paprikavendeglo.hu/). Of my two weeks in Europe, I had my best dinner at Paprika.

I hope you will love Budapest. It's already become among my favorite cities in Europe.

Now Paparika is seconded. If you are into "nicer" dining there are several Michelin star restaurants in town. More than in Prague and equal to Vienna i think.
