We just got back from our two weeks in Hungary -- it was absolutely stunning!
Unfortunately, I neglected to make enough time to make purchases at a couple of wine shops in both Eger and Budapest, and now I'm struggling to find a good online vendor that might sell some of wines I'm interested in buying. Does anybody have any suggestions on where I might have some luck with Hungarian wine selections? Thanks!
james, have you checked with local wine shops to see if they can order the wine for you? I've done that a couple of times. Distributor relationships and state laws can be kind of tricky.
I'll give that a shot -- thanks! I've got some decent wine vendors in Atlanta, so hopefully it'll be fruitful.
After trying some Hungarian wines, we reverted to the far better dark beer.
What beers do you enjoy? I didn't make the opportunity to try any.

There is a Atlanta Hungarians group on Facebook that one of my friends runs (we both taught in Hungary a long time ago) and they might have some leads. The best online vendor, in terms of selection, I've found is Blue Danube Wines. The only problem is that they've run into some pretty restrictive shipping rules as to which states/locations they can ship to and Georgia's not on the list (nor my home state of Illinois or our neighboring states even though they used to ship to WI and IN). But you could reach out to them and see if there's a possibility of that changing. Good luck!
