Buying a SIM Card for 3 countries, Hungary, Austria and Czech Republic

Hello

We have planned a 3 city holiday from 15 - 28 Oct 2025. Landing in Budapest, 4 nights there, then 5 nights in Vienna, then 4 in Prague.

We have 2 iphone 14's of the physical SIM variety. Is there a phone company that would cover all 13 nights of our trip across these 4 cities? 10GB data would be sufficient since we will use WiFi within hotels. Our itinerary relies heavily on google maps, so we will definitely need a mobile SIM for all days of our trip.

The arrival hall at Budapest Airport has a "Telekom" booth which has SIM cards for tourists - 30 days 'travel' SIM, 100GB data (of which 56GB can be used outside Hungary in the EU). Cost = 15k HUF.

Should I buy this or is there something cheaper available in the city?

Thanks and best regards,
MA

Is there a reason you can’t use an eSIM, such as phone not unlocked? If you can use an eSIM, I recently visited all these countries and the eSIM I got through Airalo worked great in all of them.

iPhone 14s sold outside this US has a physical SIM and eSIM. Most eSIMs are data only, if you need to make local calls you need to research for one. I have used Orange eSIMs in my travel in Europe that comes with a France phone number that allows calls within Europe and limited free calls outside Europe.

As stated earlier to use another carrier your phone has to be unlocked. You can Google how to determine if the phones are unlocked.

Our service provider does have international roaming packs and we are contemplating buying one.

Also checked that our IPhone 14 is eSIM compliant. And it’s an unlocked iPhone 14.

Thanks to everyone who responded.
