My husband and I are visiting in September 2017 and would love to get some recommendations as to where to eat like a local. We LOVE food and exploring pubs/bars and are very interested in the food/bar scene in Budapest on top of all the history. We are planning to stay at an AirBnB in one of the districts listed.
Any suggestions?
We pretty much love everything - are seafood and meat eaters and love beer and wine!!
Districts 6 and 7. Good location choice. Look between Andrassy ut and Dobb utca and inside the outer loop road that runs through the Oktogon.

Keep in mind that Hungary is a long way from the coast, so unless you love carp soup, there are better places for seafood. This is pig and duck land.
