Budapest to Venice to Ljubijana to Croatia~ working itinerary

Working itinerary for one month travel in July 2019 - would love your feedback.
Arrive in Budapest Day 1
Day 2-4 Budapest exploring
Depart Budapest flying to Venice for $59 one way. I love trains but that would take quite a bit of time yes?
Day 5-9 Venice
Day 9 Travel to Trieste overnight? or continue on to Ljubijana?
Day 10- 13 Ljubijana with side trips to caves, Julian Alps, Lake Bled
Day 14 Croatia and wrapping up in Bosnia Herzegovina
I haven't got any further than that. I am buying Rick Steves Croatia book tomorrow!
