Hello fellow travelers. My family (mother and siblings) and I will be traveling to Budapest this summer and are attempting to determine what the most economical manner in which to travel firstly from Budapest to Balaton either Tihany or Keszthely then on to Prague. I've done some cursory research and am having difficulting pinning down rail schedules and costs. We are also wishing to rent a car in Budapest for a few days and perhaps that may well be our best travel option to Balaton. I'm uncertain as to the cost of renting a vehicle in Europe and have been told it can be a costly affair. In short, what would be the most economical within reason (not wishing travel time to be too lengthly). Any guidance would be much appreciated!
