Good Day,
What's the weather like in Budapest in July and August? Many say it's too hot, is it as hot as Istanbul for instance?

It is not as hot as Istanbul but could be hot. AC is not at same level we are used to here.

We were there last July, wear shorts and a t-shirt :) it is summer weather, but far from the heat of las vegas :)

I was in Budapest for 6 days last summer (mid-July) and the lowest daily high temp was 90°F, most days it was 95-98°. It was the one place I stayed that I was glad I had A/C in my apt. I'm used to hot weather so didn't mind it terribly but if you're not used to it definitely make sure you have A/C.

Too hot or too cold is sort of a relative thing. Depends on what you are use to. Personally I can take the outside temperatures without much agrivation, but its being inside, restaurants for instance, where the lack of "good" air conditioning and proper air flow make it unbearable for me. And yes, I would suggest you get accommodations with AC.
