Budapest - Need Local Guide

Can anyone recommend an excellent guide for this beautiful city? If you have their contact information that would be appreciated!

Keep on traveling!

First, you don't "need" a guide in Budapest unless there is a topic you want to dive down deep into. But when i travel I hire one from time to time for a fresh perspective, to learn a bit more and interact in a new culture.

That being said, a while ago a trusted source said I should try this one. That I would be impressed. I haven't had the opportunity to yet, but I pass along the name: https://lovefromhungary.com/tours/budapest-art-nouveau-walk/ I posted this a while back, a Rick Steves type person did try her and reported back that she was very good.

Another is Zsuzsi (more less pronounced Susie) Ive hired her twice in the last 5 years. She does a good job +36 30 370 0066 (use whatsapp) https://www.instagram.com/budapest_personal_guide/

Another is Julia with https://lovefromhungary.com/ Good reputation and used by a few RS types. Do a RS forum search for references.

Another that I like for vinyard trips is Lucia. Lucia Gerard +33 6 2217 5616 [email protected]

If it's about Jewish Budapest use the guide recommended by the Dohany utca (great) Synagogue. https://jewishtourhungary.com/hu

Hi Michelle we used a local guide in 2022 and loved it.
We found the guide through a Rick Steves recommended guide:
Andrea Makkay
Personal Budapest Guide
Email:[email protected]
Web: www.privateguidebudapest.com

Andrea was not available so she organized for us to have a different guide and driver. The guide’s name was Anikó. She was fantastic and I highly recommend her. I think our tour was 6 hours and included a minivan and driver.

Enjoy Budapest!
