Will be planning a trip to Budapest in May or June. A few questions #1 What is the weather like? #2 How many days should be alloted for an adequate learning experience? Finally what would be a good 5-6 day itinerary? We are relatively healthy senior citizens but cobblestone walking & walking on hills is somewhat difficult.Thsnk you in advance
Best to begin with a good guidebook like RS Budapest. I'd then look thru the Hungary Forum for what others have done.
Usually works best if you come up with your first pass at an itinerary, and ask for comments. No one knows what you want to do or enjoy.
Most of B-P is pretty flat. The Castle Hill is not, but you can ride up to the top on various buses. We are 70 and 74, and had no trouble 3 y ago.

4 complete full days.
Finally what would be a good 5-6 day itinerary?
PM me and I can email one to you.

Not much cobblestone in Budapest, some, but not much.
Pest is flat, the Buda Castle district is also mostly flat, but you have to get up there and thats either the funicular or Bus 16 if you dont want to do a lot of walking.
Most of the sights are very near or on a public transportation (tram) route.
Thsnk you in advance
You are welcome
Just popping in to say - be sure you get Mister É’s itinerary. It is very good. And if you have 5-6 days (as opposed to just 4 days), there is plenty to see and enjoy - and eat.
