Need suggestions for 3 days in Budapest after cruise. Would like to stay in a charming hotel close to restaurants and things to do. All suggestions are appreciated!

Oh, the hotel. I can only recommend hotels that I have stayed at, and I haven't stayed at many in Budapest. Buy for what you are looking for I would suggest looking in the lower 25% of Districts VI, VII and VIII, and the northern half of District V. District V is a bit too touristy for me, but the northern half isn't quite as bad. Stay off Vaci utca and maybe a block above and below it.
If you see a few interesting places, tell me the names, I might know something about them or the neighborhood.
