Just wanted to check and see if this was legit. Our AirBnB host is requesting copies of our passports as part of Hungary's requirement for VIZA. Just wanted to check and see if this is legit and if others have done this previously?

The Hungarian government requires the passport information to be submitted to them prior to giving the renters the keys. The process takes a while which is why most request tge info in advance so you can get checked on quickly.
