Hello,
I'm traveling from Bratislava to Budapest on Sept. 29th. Should I book a train ticket in advance? And is there an app/website for train schedules?
Thank you.

Thank you.
I would buy them now, or at least soon, to maybe save a few euro and have more seat selections. I would buy them here: https://jegy.mav.hu/
You arrive at Budapest Nyugati Station, tge one designed by the Eiffel company.
Thank you, do I need a seat reservation?
"Need" no. But generally a good idea so tgere is no chance that you end up standing or playing musical chairs. 3 euros.
Ah yes, I made a rookie mistake on a train from Rothenberg the day after Christmas to Munich w/o one. Big mistake. Huge.
Thanks again for your wise words!
Nyugati is well connected with public transportation as is the entire city. If you are under 65 dont forget to get your metro pass for the duration (24H, 72H or 15 day).
