Aquincum museum and grounds + baths?

Hello - long time lurker, first time poster with questions...I have things I want to do, but too little time....

  1. Has anyone arranged for an English-speaking tour guide at Aquincum? If so, what was your experience?
  2. How much time should wife and I set aside for seeing the museum and exterior grounds at Aquincum, if our AMA river cruise disembark time is 9a?
  3. Will we have enough time to enjoy a thermal spa experience, too?
  4. Is Hotel Clark my best option for 1 night (after museum/baths) -- want to sit outside and enjoy lights, and will need to catch early flight the following morning. Or is another area more convenient? I know Mr. E prefers the Pest side, but do the logistics work?

Can't help you much on Aquincum. I go past it a few times a month when visiting friends, but haven't been to the museum in 10+ years. Not exactly the greatest use of time in Budapest. Most are disappointed.

Yes, stay in Pest is usually better, but not always. Not sure what logistics you are concerned about. Let me know and we will work it out.

The views at that point on the river are better from Pest. Further up river the views are better from Buda.

You can't do wrong. If you need logistical help, let me know. Happy to help.
