We do a lot of complaining here, so it’s nice to complement once in a while.
I have a few friends in town. Not RS types. They booked the hotel through Expedia. They had a non-refundable booking, and I think they are paying about $150 a night for this 4-Star hotel on Andrassy ut. So, who’s to complain about that. But something came up and they decided they wanted to cut the stay short one night and move on to Paris. So, the week before coming they contacted Expedia to change the reservation. “Sorry, no can do …” They understood. Weren’t too upset.
But when they got here and checked in they asked again. The desk clerk made the call to Expedia, sent some letters or whatever they have to do with Expedia to approve the changa and made it happen. And no, it’s not because my friends made a scene. There are no humbler or more soft-spoken folks in the world. So, this Hotel just went to the top of my list of places to recommend consideration of .
Oh, my friends bought the desk clerk a bottle of wine to say thank you.
