Anyone have experience buying train tickets Budapest-Zagreb (direct) at the Budapest train station?
We're trying to get on the 6:35a train that leaves Budapest Deli and arrives Zagreb Glavni at 12:38p. Our travel date is July 4, 2018.
I've been trying to purchase our tickets online and keep getting an error message: "Reservations temporarily locked to the selected train. Please try again later! 003262820180520"
My inclination is to just wait until we get to Budapest and buy our tickets at the train station the day before ... or, perhaps, a few days in advance, if needed.
Everything I'm seeing indicates that's a safe bet.
I'd love to hear any tips from anyone who has booked this train.
